WELT AND TURNED SHOES around TRADE MARK and

GOODYEAR WELT on ribbons encircle a central globe.

Billy Gribble has identified this as an issue commemorating

the 250

th

anniversary of Haverhill, Ma. Pointing out the many

commemorative tokens containing the date 1640 relating to

Haverhill (including HK 665.) Corroborating evidence that

these dates refer to the Haverhill 250

th

anniversary is the fact that

the Goodrich firm had an important manufacturing facility min

Haverhill in 1890. (F)
