HK 410b. PANAMA PACIFIC EXPOSITION KENTUCKY

FUND DOLLAR, 1915.

38mm. Bronze. (Robbins Co.).

Extremely Fine. With fob top, as made, meant to

accommodate a suspension ribbon. The obverse is the

same as HK 410, portraying a sailing ship and the surrounding

legend, THE LAND DIVIDED THE WORLD UNITED.

Around the border is an exposition inscription. The reverse

is a rendition of the Kentucky State Seal and the legend: FOR

KENTUCKY EXPOSITION FUND.

Extremely Rare! This is only the fifth Kentucky Fund Dollar

we have ever handled. It is so rare that it went unmentioned in

HK’s extensive listing of Pan-Pac Exposition medals. Our last

offering of one was in our 2007 Auction Seventy Seven

where a holed XF with rough edges brought $759;00

In our 2006 Fauver Collection sales (#143) an XF with a few

edge nicks brought $1322.50. We suspect, without knowing for

certain, that many, if not most, of these Kentucky Fund Dollars

started out life suspended from a ribbon.
