American pine box, with over 75 hand-carved dogs and fish
applied with square nails. Dovetailed and square-nailed
construction, working lock with key, brass hinges. Southern,
1870-1880. Fourteen by nine inches, 6 1/2 inches high.
Applied crate wood handle.
