Vladimir Kagan (b. 1927) Boomerang coffee table, New

York, 1950s, sculpted walnut and travertine, unmarked,

14" x 51" x 43½", sold on the phone for $8750 (est.

$1800/2200). The boomerang shape is a quintessential

1950s shape that appeared on ceramics and textiles, and

in furniture design.

Front cabinet, sold for $56,250 (est. $30,000/40,000). Aglass-top dining table

(not shown), 6'6" diameter, with a sculpted bronze and composite base, sold

for $25,600 (est. $20,000/30,000). Both were in the 2014 Evans show and

catalog.

Gio Ponti (1891-1979), pair of Cassina

lounge chairs, Italy, 1964, leather, suede,

and lacquered wood, unmarked, 36" x 25" x

33", sold for $31,250 (est. $8000/12,000). Two

months earlier at Wright in Chicago these

chairs sold for $27,500 (est. $15,000/20,000).

They were made for the Hotel Parco dei

Principi, Rome.

Ico Parisi (1916-1996) and

Luisa Parisi (1914-1990), Singer &

Sons, console table (no. 1109), Italy,
