excellent Soap Hollow high chest signed, manufactured by Jeremiah Stahl and dated 1867 in original

brilliant red paint and yellow pinstripe, orig. green end panels, feet and trim, dec. w/12 birds, urns, harps, snowflakes, floral

garlands, etc. (3 missing key escutcheons and some paint loss to top only, a great chest); Soap Hollow single-drawer nightstand

initialed HMA and BWM signed by John Salva in orig. paint; medium-size Soap Hollow B.C. in orig. bold red and black

sponge paint, initialed DK 1886 w/green feet and molding w/fine decs. (attributed to Joseph or John Sala Jr.); scarce miniature

Soap Hollow B.C. in orig. paint signed FS 1881 w/decs. (blistered surface); tremendous 19" x 15" orig. red painted picture

frame attributed to Jacob Knagy, Somerset County, Pa.; signed J. Keim and dec. w/tulips, vines, leaves and a pineapple;

each central flower, orig. green dovetailed bracket feet w/green moldings, (paint loss to lid alone, one of the best Palmers I’ve

ever seen!); several blanket chests, dough tray – dutch cupboard – 3 corner cupboards – one 6'2" T. 2-piece blind door C.C. w/

geometric and string inlays throughout – dec. deacon’s bench – drysinks – 2 pieces tiger maple furniture – nightstands – pair

Miniature Furniture:

Monumental circa 1830 miniature walnut and rosewood, stepback dresser (21½" H. x 17" W. x 14"

D. without mirror) w/hundreds of inlays of stars, diamonds, fans, Greek keys, etc., descended from Halehurst Mansion,

Phillipsburg, Pa. (one-of-a-kind museum-quality dresser); early blue ladder-back chairs – dome-lid trinket box – child’s 27"

dec. plank settee – Lehnware serving chest –

excellent pre-1850

tiger and bird’s-eye maple sewing stand, great Amish sewing

accessory stand for needles, buttons and hooks – plank seat dec. Lancaster County child’s rocker – several excellent miniature

blanket chests w/paint or inlays – fine 15" H. x 16" W. red and black rosewood over salmon dec. miniature drysink – other fine

Folk Art and Watercolor Drawings:

Collection of 3 black American dolls probably carved by Mahlon Williams (1846-1939)

from Newville, Cumberland County, Pa., w/provenance auction day; fine folk art root covered chest w/feet and hinge lid (28"

W. x 16" T.) made in Cumberland County by William Mountz, father of primitive carver Aaron Mountz in Carlisle, Pa., area

w/detailed provenance; nice hinge storage box w/thread spools and ball and stick ornamentations; excellent small carved

rooster in orig. red, yellow, and green paint; outstanding walnut semi high top shoe snuffbox w/intricate decs. (wait till you

see it!); miniature ink and watercolor rural farming scene in orig. frame; pair of fine watercolor drawings done for relatives

attributed to Hyssong include 1 gal. crock w/tulips and foliage – 9" Albany slip pitcher w/lid; large cup w/molded rim

and typical thumb tab a handle top in Albany slip glaze; rare sales slip from E.B. Hyssong for items sold to John Little
