17th century turned

‘leather’ chair

in completely original structural condition—

and retaining its original stuffing and leather.

In a mid-19th

century black paint over the original brown stain.

Maple and oak, probably Boston, 1660-1690.

Ht. 38", seat ht. 20". Only three or four of these

chairs remain with their original leather intact.

Just acquired from an old Newbury,

ma

family.
