For Sale:
Rare Rodin Bronze of " e Kiss." 25.7 cm Reduction size. e only Rodin bronze,
that I am aware of, that was cast in the United States while Rodin was alive. Cast
by A. Gri oul, who cast 39 authorized bronzes for Rodin while in France. ere is no
documentation to prove whether this bronze was authorized or unauthorized for casting
at the time. It is believed to have been cast around 1908, around the time when the
10-year contract Rodin had with Le-Blanc Barbedienne was to expire. ere is docu-
mentation from the Comité Rodin (Jerome Le Blay) that this piece was executed by
A. Gri oul at the beginning of the XXth Century. Being that this bronze was
cast while Rodin was alive, it places it before the time period that the French
Government / Musée Rodin became heirs to the Rodin estate. $250,000.00.
