Under the leadership of Asian specialist James Callahan, Tremont Auctions has been

favored with the privilege to represent estates and collections from Newport, RI, a

downsizing Connecticut collector, and items gleaned from across the United States and

Canada for our annual spring auction.

Large collections of Chinese ceramics including a monumental temple vase with pâte-

sur-pâte pagoda decoration descending through the family of American Banker and

Philanthropist Morris Ketchum Jesup, who was the president of the American Museum of

Natural History, N.Y.C. The vase was originally from his Lenox, MA, mansion Belvoir Terrace.

Other items include gilt Buddha bronzes, works of art, textiles, works on paper, porcelain,

over 100 carved jade objects
