This Schwenkfelder ink and watercolor fraktur vorschrift by

Susanna Heebner (Montgomery County, Pennsylvania 1750-1818),

dated

1807, 8" x 13¼", descended in the family and sold to dealer

Philip Bradley for $6710 (est. $2000/4000).

This Pennsylvania walnut two-part Dutch cupboard, circa 1790, with

a boldly molded cornice and base, raised-panel doors, and original

rattail hinges, 88" x 65½", from a private collection in Douglassville,

Pennsylvania, had been bought from dealer Harry Hartman of

Marietta, Pennsylvania. It sold for $10,370 (est. $8000/ $12,000)

to dealer Greg Kramer of Robesonia, Pennsylvania.

This is a Virginia Record Book Artist fraktur

for Mary Magdalene /

Berkheimer, who “was born on ye 6th Day of July /...1804,” together

with its original opposing page with three birds perched on a vibrant

floral tree. The pages, each 7½" x 6

", sold for $4148 (est. $2000/4000).

Bearing the family names of Garling and Myers, this 83" x 68"

Schoolhouse friendship quilt, early 20th century, sold online for

$1500 (est. $800/1200) in a weak quilt market that saw most quilts

selling under estimates.

This circa 1800 Pennsylvania Federal walnut

tall chest with three over five drawers,

flanked by pilasters with whimsical, inlaid

floral vines and barber pole edges, 66" x

42", sold for $5612 (est. $3000/5000). It had

been offered before with a higher estimate

and failed to sell.

If something is southern or has a Titus Geesey

provenance, it brings a premium. This walnut

server, probably Virginia, circa 1770, 37" x

34" x 21", has its original engraved brasses.

It has yellow pine and cedar secondary woods

and a slender patch above the lock, and its foot

appliqués appear to be original. Overall in very

good original condition, it sold on the phone

for $14,640 (est. $5000/10,000).

This Sheraton mahogany sideboard is inscribed

James McDowell / Cabinet

Maker / Smyrna, Delaware / May 8th, 1816” and is 40" x 57½". It sold on the

phone for $4000 (est. $1000/1500). Signed furniture brings a premium.
