The stack of painted round pantry boxes sold
to another dealer at the show after we took this
picture. The 1900s basket quilt, 75" x 73", was
$395 from Wilhide’s Antiques, Shippensburg,
Pennsylvania.
This four-drawer grain-painted chest with unusual contrasts was $2950 from
Holden Antiques, Sherman, Connecticut.
This Diller practice piano keyboard was $185 fromMelissa Alden of Portsmouth,
New Hampshire.
The 1890s owl from Axtell Antiques, Deposit,
New York, was 3' tall x 1' diameter and $6500.
Maybe it was an advertising piece for White
Owl Cigars?
Bonnie Ferriss
of Cambridge,
New York, asked
$1900 for these
yellow measures
that she had in
her kitchen until
that morning.
The absolute giveaway piece of the showwas this Pennsylvania plank-seat settee with stencil decoration
that David and Becky Griffiths of Griffiths Antiques, Utica, New York, bought years ago. It sold, of
course—what a deal for $395. We saw a similar one at another show for $1300.
