Another top seller from the Reventlow
estate was this Ostertag Art Deco 18k yel-
low gold compact with compartments for
lipstick, lighter, mirror, powder, watch,
and comb. It was set with 66 rubies and
66 diamonds, and each piece had an eagle
head touchmark stamped “Ostertag
Paris Depose 39149.” Weighing a total
of 289.9 grams, the compact sold well

marked “E. Gübelin Patek Philippe Geneve.” It sold for
