At top is a large circular bust of Washington, three

draped flags to either side. Below, in four rows of seven, are

profile busts of all of the subsequent presidents through Coolidge.

The profiles in the front row all face right; the second row, left, etc.

AU. On the reverse is a hinged flap which opens and contains

paper biographies and pictures of each president. (D-E)

Hake 2043. 24mm. Bronzed

WM. Holed with loop and ring. XF, but with the bright Wm showing

through on his forehead and lower portions of his bust. Uniface.

A well executed bust of Coolidge faces left. CALVIN to left,

COOLIDGE to right. One of just a handful of period Coolidge

portrait tokens. (C)

Statue of Liberty. U.S. Flag and arm holding scales of Justice.

Below: NUMBER/ COUNTY/ STATE with space to the right for

25.4mm. Bronze. (Robbins.) XF. Obv: Rectangle with diamond

at center in which is placed a cross. A K I A in corners. Rays

emanate from the rectangle. Rx: Liberty Bell at center flanked by

dates 1776 1926. Legend: SESQUICENTENNIAL EXPOSITION

SEPT. 11, 1926. According to Birdsell, Sept. 11 refers to “Klan

Day” at the Sesquicentennial celebration in Philadelphia. (E)

23.9mm bronzed

WM. Uniface. XF, with a small apportion of the bright white metal

showing through across his lapel and on the edge at 3:00. Made

of the same fabric as the Coolidge token above and no doubt

from the same hand. This is the only David medallic portrait piece

known to us. (D)
